OUR MISSION

The Spiritual Coalition on Climate Action in Nova Scotia (SCOCANS)

is dedicated to advocacy for environmental and social justice.

OUR INITIATIVES

SCOCANS supports religious/spiritual organizations attempting to reduce their environmental footprint, provides a platform for exchange between participating groups regarding climate relevant efforts specific to their own faith/spiritual communities, encourages individual efforts to mitigate climate change, such as home energy efficiency upgrades and personal habits to conserve energy

To inform the public of upcoming events supported by SCOCANS
To provide information about climate related issues and resources available to help reduce our environmental footprint

SCOCANS members meet 2-3 times a year to support climate justice through action as needed be it letter writing campaigns or joining rallies.
